Boy Speak

Filed under: Not so the drama

Reading books is one of my past times nowadays. It relaxes my entire mind and keeps me out of thinking things which happen to be stressors. Last Sunday, I decided to borrow a book from a dear friend who happened to be a book lover too. Well anyway, I would just like to stress out one part which really catches my attention. It is all about “BOY SPEAK” (the meaning behind the words and phrases a boy could use to speak for the girls)
           Words/Phrases                                             Meaning

1. Call you later:
Sometime in the next century
2. Commitment:
A word only applied to a football team
3. I need space:
For all my other girlfriends
4. Let’s just see how it goes:
Back off, I’m feeling pressured
5. Would you like a rub?:
I want to try my luck
6. Isn’t it warm here?:
Take off your clothes
7. Hi. Your friend looks nice:
I fancy her and am using you to get her
8. Don’t get heavy:
I don’t feel the same way about you
9. She’s ugly/ a lesbian
She didn’t fancy me
10. I’m not ready for a relationship:
Not with you, anyway
11. I’m very independent
I like to do things my own way, on my own terms
12. We can still be friends:
It’s over and this is probably the last time you’ll ever see me.
The “Boy Speak” is based on the book Mates, Dates and Cosmic Kisses by Cathy Hopkins.
Well girls, hope you haven’t heard those words from your boyfriend or from a guy because I think it really sucks. And there’s one thing… Be Careful!
